ABOUT US
Konkreettista apua ry is a voluntary aid organization whose activities focus on emergency aid for the victims of the crisis in Ukraine, both nationally and internationally, together with individuals, companies, associations and other cooperation bodies. For every transport we coordinate, we cooperate with the authorities in order to minimize risks, and the instructions are followed in all our activities.
Our concrete aid work in Ukraine started three days after the outbreak of the war, and it formed a group of volunteer helpers, which later changed its form. They wanted to continue taking emergency aid to Ukraine stronger, clearer and more long-term as an aid organization under the name Konkreettista apua ry.
Our operations are heavily staffed by people from the foundation to the very beginning, as well as many other iron reinforcements along the way.
The huge desire of individual people and companies to help with a big heart has made it possible for emergency aid to be delivered to Ukraine and for us in Finland to be able to give help to the victims of the war on an ongoing basis.
The coordination work is also focused on other aid groups in order to get war victims to safety as quickly as possible. The situation at the beginning of the war was extremely challenging in Poland, as reception centers had not yet been established in many places and chaos prevailed at many railway stations. The first 17 victims of the war came to Finland with our help on March 3.
Our organization coordinates the delivery of emergency aid targeted to the victims of the crisis in Ukraine and helps Ukrainians from crisis areas to Finland. In addition to transportation and collection of goods, we also help people who have fled to Finland from war zones with various support activities, such as assisting and directing people to the right help in various education and employment issues as well as in matters related to social and health services. We also support war victims with various product and accommodation subsidies.
We are happy to help and participate in the coordination work together with other voluntary organizations and we also deliver donations collected by other aid organizations and aid groups to crisis areas. In addition, we contact and coordinate the relief work of volunteers in Ukraine.
Our operations include people who have coordinated thirty aid trips and brought almost 600 war victims to Finland. Some of the victims have been assisted from Russia, who were originally trapped and forced from Mariupol to Russia.
We also convey information about events in Ukraine and share information on our various channels about the many gatherings, events and other assistance organized by various associations in Finland, which are useful for helpers and Ukrainians arriving in Finland.

We work together with individual citizens, associations, cities, foundations and many companies both nationally and internationally. We cooperate and act responsibly with regard to every transport we coordinate, also with various authorities and the Finnish Immigration Service in order to minimize risks.
The operators of Konkreetttista anua ry have multi-professional experience in, for example, the social and health sector, risk management and safety management in an international operating environment, interpretation tasks and the transport sector.
War and with it many needs are constantly changing. In order to remain operational and ensure that emergency aid is delivered in the future as well, we must keep up with the changes and work together!

We want to strengthen and build cooperation continuously and we will be happy to talk with you if you want to be involved in the activity even more. As a rule, aid supplies are transported to logistics points in Poland or Lithuania, from where they continue to Ukraine with the help of reliable partners.
COLLECTIONS
Currently, there are collection points for our aid products in different parts of the capital region in Finland, such as in Vantaa, Helsinki and Espoo. Larger donations and urgently needed supplies are collected directly at our larger warehouse in Varisto, Vantaa.
